Trump campaign says US intelligence warned of Iran assassination threats


Donald Trump has been briefed by US intelligence on threats from Iran to assassinate him, his marketing campaign mentioned.

The Republican presidential candidate was briefed “concerning actual and particular threats from Iran to assassinate him in an effort to destabilize and sow chaos in america”, the marketing campaign mentioned in an announcement.

It didn’t elaborate on the claims, and it was not instantly clear if the threats it referred to have been new or had been beforehand reported.
