Iranian authorities say the “riots” had been fomented by the “enemies” of the Islamic republic, particularly the USA.
The spokesman stated a particular committee charged by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi with investigating the protests had “not too long ago despatched its ultimate report back to the president”, with out giving particulars on its findings.
The UN consultants stated “a minimum of 551” protesters had been killed by safety forces, who “used pointless and disproportionate pressure”.
