On Friday, scores of protesters occupied a central campus constructing and dozens of others blocked its entrance with trash cans, wood platforms and a bicycle. Protesters gathered on the constructing’s home windows chanted slogans and hung placards studying “We’re all Palestinians”, in defiance of directors who college students say referred to as the police on their friends two days earlier. On Wednesday night, greater than 100 pro-Palestinian protesters occupied the amphitheatre. Most agreed to depart after discussions with administration however a small group of scholars remained. They had been eliminated by police later that evening, based on native studies.
The college administration closed all its buildings and stated it “strongly condemns these scholar actions which stop the correct functioning of the establishment.” The college assertion stated about 60 protesters had been contained in the occupied constructing and that directors had been assembly with a scholar delegation “to attempt to discover a method out of this case”.
