Pop icon Janet Jackson not too long ago stated in an interview with The Guardian that she had heard claims suggesting Democratic presidential candidate and vice chairman Kamala Harris is “not Black.”
Jackson’s remark helps a story related to former president Donald Trump who had earlier questioned Harris’ Black heritage.
“She’s not Black. That’s what I heard — that she’s Indian” Jackson stated within the interview.
“That’s what I used to be instructed.I imply, I haven’t watched the information in a number of days. I used to be instructed they found her father was white,” the singer added. Nonetheless, the interviewer promptly corrected her assertion explaining that Harris has each Indian and Black heritage.

Earlier, Republican presidential candidate Trump had questioned Harris’s Black heritage throughout a July convention of Black journalists, claiming she primarily recognized together with her Indian heritage previously.
